BLESSED MOTHER STATUE TO BE REPLACED

A lovely statue of Our  Lady of Grace has been
guarding our parking/play area for the past twenty-one years. Over the years, weather and a few accidents have reuqired replaceent of the head, hands a
nd arm. The last episode made us face the reality of replacing the statue.

A new statue has arrived and will be used first for the May Crowning and then be placed facing onto the proposed new playground area (coming this summer).

This new statue will be dedicated in honor of two of our recently deceased grandmothers, CAROLYN GRISNIK and MARIE DEGEN  and, hopefully, will be a reminder of the care and support that our grandparents give to OLH.

If any other families would like to be included in the sponsorship of the statue and the permanent brick pedestal she will require, please contact Sister Kathy.

(The estimated total cost of the entire project will be approximately $4000.)

Grandparents added to the dedication of the statue:

ANNE MARIE FLOOD              CAROLYN GRISNIK

GLORIA SULLIVAN                 MARIE DEGEN

LOUISE ADELLE RODDY           M THOMAS HENDERSON

  1. SPIRIT POINTS

Each year, the school conducts a friendly competition to determine the most involved class. The points to earn the trophy are cumulative beginning with summer service and ending on June 15. Points are awarded on the basis of class participation in the events and activities of the school. This is not based upon financial success , but rather actual spirit and student attendance at or involvement in activities.
